Johannes Huwe, who had been excited about photography since the middle of the eighties, is concentrating on subjects such as ³Timeless Highway² and ³Street Photography² in his newest works, which find unique scenery in North America.

On this theme his well acclaimed illustrated book, "New York Street Photography with a Toy Camera", was published in the US in 2006. With the photographic style tailor-made by Johannes Huwe for the Holga toy camera the photographic autodidact even attracted the attention of the Japanese manufacturer of this medium-format cult camera, leading to an assignment for Holga promotion material. His images for a lens test in Malaysia were also published worldwide.

As a contrast to his generally colorful picture world, Johannes Huwe puts a focus on fine art black-and-white photography in his works. In particular the medium format creates here very clear design possibilities characterized by the square format.
