I first got my feet wet in community writing with children in the inner city of Chattanooga. It was such a ball that I decided to initiate a similar project in the small town where I have spent my summers for most of my life. Lakeside, Ohio is a place of stories just waiting to be collected. The entries rolled in and the first Lakeside Writing Project was launched!

My husband and I run the Kite Shop and the World Next Door fair trade store in Lakeside. Our three children swim, bike, shuffleboard and play with their cousins and friends. When we're not in Lakeside, we live in Chattanooga, TN. I love to be outside, read, travel, learn new stuff and share meals with friends and family.
