John L. Watkins is a mostly retired attorney from Athens, Georgia. His current interests are photography and travel.

John is married to Margaret, a retired financial professional. John and Margaret have always loved animals, and have been the "parents" to many cats over the years. All of the Watkins' cats have been strays, humane society cats, or "free kittens." John's new book, "Life With Two Black and Silver Cats" details the many ways that two black cats with "silver linings" and their feline siblings have enriched the Watkins' lives.
