I was given my first camera at the age of 8, a Kodak Instimatic as I recall. I soon learned that I could inspire my subjects to do interesting things simply by pointing my camera in their direction. One camera gave way to another in succession over the next forty-five years and my subject matter evolved into more adult images that found their way into books such as The Mammoth Book of Illustrated Erotica as well as my own WARRIOR PRINCESS The Erotic Fantasy Photography of Michael Alan Grapin; and magazines such as JADE.
