I have been taking and making photographic images since being a young man of 16 when my camera was an Agfa Isolette and used 120 roll film. I taught myself how to develop and print using my Mother's kitchen as a dark room at night.
My first job was as an analytical chemist and with ready access to chemicals I was quickly making my own developing solutions for both b&w and colour transparencies.
Photography has remained a passion, along with travel, and this latter interest has provided me with many opportunities to record my journeys around the world.

Recently I have become interested in capturing the female form and particularly using light to emphasise different aspects .

Although I use state of the art digital equipment I have been slowly drawn back to produce images in the style of my early years with b&w and, now more-so, sepia becoming preferred over full colour.
