I was born in May of 1973, and raised up Busan, South Korea. I received my formal art training at Dong-A University in Busan through 90’s. Although I was majoring in sculpture, I have explored wide-raining materials from steel which is considered one of traditional methods to video or computer-generate arts. After I was finished a mandatory military service in Korea, I was developing computer artworks combining with my mechanical Knight’s Memories series that was the main theme through my B.F.A degree.
I have restudied sculpture since 2005 to get a M.F.A. degree while I was working for a ship building company. Since I took care of several types of CNC machines and lots of industrial machines as a manager of the company, I started thinking about my post sculptural projects using heavy industrial devices such as CAD, CNC plasma cutting machine, and offset oxygen cutter.
