JO SCOTT-B intrigued by unique qualities of individual places, her enquiring eye revels in the colour and texture of landscape and architecture. Born in Argentina, she studied art in Europe, moving to BC in 1965. In 1988 she painted 80+ old grocery stores, winning a Heritage Award from the City of Vancouver. Her projects include paintings of New Westminster’s Queens Park and Strathcona. Calendars of this work sold extensively in Canada and USA. In 2001, Scott-B moved to the Okanagan; where her Okanagan Sunflowers was chosen by the City of Kelowna to portray their floral emblem. Represented by the Hambleton Galleries, Scott-B is an Associate of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
She is working on a sketchbook Carved in Oak based on medieval pew ends in East Anglia, to be published in the spring of 2010. Her paintings have won numerous awards.
