Elisabeth Birky, a former high school teacher and retired paralegal, is an artist and writer who lives with her husband in Overland Park, Kansas. Her poetry and fiction have been published in The Best Times and The St. Joseph Messenger. She currently facilitates a writing class at the Keeler Women's Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Her art work, consisting of beaded pictures, acrylic and water color, as well as fabric art, has been displayed in the juried Religious Art Show sponsored by Trinity Lutheran Church and the juried Johnson County Art Fest.
