Edgar Soberón was born in Cienfuegos, Cuba in 1962. He studied at Parsons School of Design in New York, where he later taught for ten years. His work can be found in numerous collections in the U.S. and abroad, among them several important Museum collections.
The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, Montgomery AL opened the exhibition Movements in Stillness: The Still life paintings of Edgar Soberon in the Fall of 2009 which highlighted still life paintings and prints from the last 15 years.
Soberon presently lives and works in the town of San Miguel de Allende, Gto Mexico.
