I began blowing glass in 1980's. Everything in the studio glass movement was exploding. Dale Chihuly was coming into his own, Lino Tagliapietra had started to become well known, everything was new and fresh. I was young then, but soaked it all in. I feel blessed that I started blowing glass at such a young age because I had the freedom to create glass simply for the fun of creating.

In my 20 years of working with glass, I felt a constant need to not make just one style of glass, but to master as many techniques as possible. As I continue on in my career in glass, I often find my self wondering where I will end up, or what I will be known for the most, but that is not for me to decide.
