If you’re an omnipotent being who also allows free will, your day is filled with things you cause and things you allow.

In my paintings, primary colors are spattered on the canvas, but must fall through a series of objects controlled by random or chaotic systems, determining which parts of the canvas get spattered. Though painstakingly overseen, the colors mix by themselves and the painting emerges with a will of its own.

My work is a meticulously controlled accident, a continuing experiment to better understand Life, God, and Art through exploring the limits of control and the reach of randomness.
