Born in Ayrshire, Scotland 1957. Studied photography in Glasgow and moved to London in 1978 where he has lived and worked since.
Prints are held in the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and the Scottish National Galleries, Edinburgh. In 1995 his work was featured in a major celebration of Scottish Photography, "Light from the Darkroom" at the Royal Scottish Academy.
