Born in 1963 in the Northern part of the Black Forest in Germany close to the border of France, Birgit returns to her European roots every summer, capturing the ways of old, simplicity, raw and pristine land and what is in danger of getting lost. Her continuous quest is to tap into the mysterious and what connects humanity with the natural world.
