Ryan Thompson discovered both his vocation and his passion for photography in Littleton Public Schools’ Basic Commercial Photography Program. He took first place in the program’s Regional Basic Competition, and went on to take third place in the statewide competition. In the summer immediately following, he had the opportunity to attend The Rocky Mountain School of Photography’s Summer Intensive Program. There, he further learned his craft from a wide variety of successful photographers. He had only recently become a Christian, and he found that the glorious Montana landscapes inspired him to capture images that would reflect the majesty of an almighty God. Whether he photographed shafts of light in Montana, gypsies in Croatia, or wedding portraits in Iowa, his future work will be fueled by this inspiration.

Since then he has photographed numerous assignments and weddings the world over. He currently resides in Dubuque, Iowa with his wife Amelia and will relocate in July 2009.
