Annette is a native Oregonian, born in Silverton, Oregon. She grew up on the Oregon Coast and in the Willamette Valley. She graduated from Molalla High School, Oregon State University, and received her doctorate from the University of Washington.
She enjoys the great outdoors, photography, and martial arts. She is a single mom to two teenage sons.
