Alejandro Velarde, born and raised in Peru, moved to the United States in 1999. He currently resides in San Francisco, California with his wife and baby boy.

Alejandro was deeply inspired by the natural beauty of San Francisco and began to pursue his life-long passion for photography soon after moving there. His love of nature and fascination with natural light patterns led him to specialize in landscape photography.

He enjoys traveling to exotic locations and becoming immersed in local cultures in order to find the most unique and unforgettable images. Nevertheless, some of his favorite locations for photography are just a short drive from his home. Living so close to so many beautiful San Francisco locations has allowed him to capture these familiar spots in the most unique light and bring them to life like no one has done before.
