Daniel Dix, also known as the ‘Stone Whisperer’ is owner of WoodSpirit Gardens, a Landscape Design and Installation Company located in North Central Minnesota, the heart of the ‘Lake Country’.

Putting strong emphasis on working with nature in all his company’s projects he has a unique perspective on land use and environmental issues. His diverse undertakings include Therapeutic, Water and Oriental gardens as well as wetland restoration, erosion and flood control. Besides managing his landscape business, Daniel is a published author, photographer, and a lecturer. A world traveler, he seeks adventure and in all corners of the globe. Gregarious and outgoing, he looks for friendship with all he meets, as a naturalist he sees wonder in every blade of grass, as a student he endeavors to learn from all, and as a teacher he tries to inspire everyone to their full potential and to look about in amazement at the beautiful world that surrounds us.
