J.A. Henderson lives in Edinburgh where he runs City of the Dead Ghost Tours – which requires him to look moody and wear black a lot. After writing several non fiction and children’s books, he turned to teenage thrillers.

He specialises in dark and twisted plots that don’t go where the reader expects. Unless they expect the worst….

His other young adult tiles are Bunker 10, Crash and Colony - ingenious, fast-paced thrillers that have had tremendous reviews. Collectively these titles have been shortlisted for thirteen book awards including the Waterstone’s Children’s Book Prize and the Angus Book Award. Bunker 10 was winner of the 2008 Royal Mail Award – Britain’s largest children’s book prize and Colony won the Doncaster 2010 Book Award
