I was born and raised in Washington, D.C., where I spent most of my time exploring along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal. My career has included cabinetmaking, writing, studio arts, carpentry, stone masonry, historic research, and most recently studies in historic preservation. After graduating Shepherd University in 2009, I began researching and photographing C&O Canal, NHP. I included all that I had found into my first book, "Gemstones Beneath The Towpath."
