Hi - thank you for getting this far. A few quick things about me:

My day job is as a writer and editor for a corporate communications agency in central London. Before that I worked for the BBC for quite a while, mostly making documentaries.

I'm half English and half Spanish, which I think affects the way I look at the world (I don't belong 100% anywhere). I'm fascinated by national differences, foreign languages, and also by the use of language (just as well, given the day job).

Other influences? I love looking at the sea, am intrigued by the quirks of human and other animal behaviour, and like to observe the small details of everyday life (so am easily distracted).

I've been seriously interested in poetry for about five years and writing it regularly for about that too. I also run a small poetry club that meets once a month to share our work.
