Paula Gillen is a photo conultant and photo editor, who combines the aesthetics of fine art photography with an insider's view of photo editing and professional business practices.

She can help you with editing and sequencing your work for various applications and settings: websites, book proposals, portfolio review events, editorial and/or for exhibition. She can give you an objective edit and help you shape a conceptually coherent visual package and direction. By helping you identify your strengths and strongest images, she can facilitate an understanding of your unique identity as an artist, and give you ideas and direction to develop technical and conceptual focus.

A former photo editor for The New Yorker Magazine, Paula Gillen has worked in publishing for over 20 years. Past clients include, Time, Vanity Fair, People, and Business Week magazine and McGraw-Hill children textbooks. To hire and locate images for publications, she has looked at and reviewed countess photographer's portfolios, web sites, and books. She is currently working with clients assisting them with the edit, sequence, and design of their photo books.
