Susan Strange was born in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Southern Methodist University where she earned a B. A. in English and French. She earned her M. A. in Secondary Education from the University of New Mexico and taught English in Albuquerque. Moving to California, she acquired a Professional Clear Credential in English, a Special Education Credential at The University of California, Riverside, and an Administrative Credential from California State University, Bakersfield. Susan retired in 2010 as a Resource Specialist in San Bernardino City Schools. Currently, she is the volunteer Coordinator for the Angeles National Forest Summer Educational Programs, a member of the Pine Needles Quilt Guild, and a Community Emergency Response Team member for her area. She and her husband are leaders for Love on a Leash Chapter, PAWS for Literacy, in Wrightwood. They live with two rescued Papillons, Sadie and Caden: one a certified therapy pet, and one in training.
