Misha Japaridze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia, May 8, 1959. Since 1985, he has been working at newspapers in Tbilisi, then in a Georgian bureau of TASS. From 1991, began working with photo agencies AP and REUTERS.
In 1993 he moved to Moscow and worked in “Komsomolskaya Pravda”. From 1994 to present time is working as photographer in Associated Press (AP). Worked in “hot spots” such as Chechnya, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Winner of POY in 1995 and 2011, winner of INTERFOTO - 2001 and 2004, Grant Prix of Sport competition 2011, and other photographic contest.
Publications in almost all major newspapers and magazines around the world.
