Lauren Kutzscher, a San Francisco native, graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007. She continues to pursue her dream of going to medical school by volunteering in hospitals, working on issues in health care with the United States Senate, and making medical trips to Guatemala. She hopes to return again to Africa, and especially Ghana, in the near future.
