Kelly is a loving and devoted wife and mother. She has 3 children. She decided to write Be Brave Little One after their son's recent diagnosis of Lambdoid synostosis. She and her husband, Nathan, were trying to prepare their two older daughters for his surgery and recovery and could not find a children's book about it. Kelly used to blog and this was a wonderful way to feel empowered in the journey through cranial surgery.
