In the past , Katie has travelled with horse and waggon, and has restored and painted old vardo's and fairground rides for over twenty five years. She is known for her British Folk Art, painting fairground rides, Gypsy waggons and her decorative painting,all using old traditional painting techniques. In the evenings she started to draw pictures, lots of them so she decided to put them all together to form ' Words from the Road'. She has now published 'Words from the Canal' and has already started on her third volume.
Peter Ingram is well known for opening the first Romany Museum in Britain, and for being an expert in the building, restoration and decoration of Gypsy waggons. His knowledge of Gypsy life is second to none and helped enormously with the romany words and meanings.
