I am a self-taught photographer with more than 30 years of experience. I got my first camera when I was 12 years old and my first Single Lens Reflex camera at 16. My uncle, a talented photographer, taught me the basics of photography and of developing black-and-white films. Back in the day, spending time in a dark room was the way to develop pictures. Today, computers have taken the place of the chemistry.
All of the pictures (except for page 3) were taken on the Takhini River Lodge estate, located 37 kilometres (23 miles) northwest of Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada.
I have owned and operated Takhini River Lodge with my wife Christiane since June 2009.
