Hugh Ash is a former senior editor on several top UK daily papers, whose work has taken him to Canada, the USA, the Caribbean and throughout Europe.
He now spend his days as a freelance journalist, covering Spain's enchanting Balearic Islands for the international English-language media ("It's a tough assignment, but someone's got to do it," he says with a wry grin).
