It was 1953 when I first picked up my father's camera. It was a twin reflex Ciroflex. I was eight years old. There wasn't any one to show me how to work the camera as my father had died two years before. He left behind some poignant images that became my inspiration. Bottom line is that I am self -taught.

My childhood dream was to become a NG photographer. I'd sit on the neighbor's back porch swing, eyes popping, mouth agape, broadening my horizons, determined to travel the world.
