My name is Carolina Gustafsson and I've been working as a photographer since the mid ninetees. I started out in the darkrooms of an newspaper in the north of Sweden, Västerbottens Kuriren.

I after that worked as a freelancing press photographer for a few of years until I got the opportunity to work at The National Library of Sweden and got to see and handle some amazing historical material, work with an extraordinary equipment and got an understanding for the importance of providing and preserving the cultural heritage that has been created through history. It was where I also started doing design work.​

After six years in Stockholm, I felt that I needed to take care of own creativity in other environments, so I left Sweden in 2004 and lived and worked in Spain, Holland and Ireland. In 2013 I came back to Sweden and I am now living and working in Kiruna, Sapmí.
