"Fran Schanz: Heart of Art" and "Fran Schanz: Select Drawings" are two recent books about artist Schanz. "Roy Ahlgren: Catalogue Raisonne" and "Roy Ahlgren: Hard Edge Paintings & Op Art Serigraphs: 1965-1988" are my third and second books, respectively. In 2005, I and Albrecht Associates published Courage and Innovation, a 150 page historical book about Lord Corporation. The volume was heavily illustrated and oversize in dimension and contained much content and opinion from the company's and Jura Corporation's then Chairman, Donald Alstadt.
Hagle retired from Lord Corporation in 2002 after 37 years of service in a variety of technical and communication management positions. He holds an MFA degree in visual communications from Syracuse University and has taught at Mercyhurst College where he also served as director of the college's Cummings Art Gallery.
He is a USAF veteran and currently lives and writes in Erie, Pennsylvania and Wilmington, North Carolina.
|Alerta del narrador ansioso: creo que mi próximo libro será sobre...|
My last book is already in Blurb's Bookstore. It's "Fran Schanz: The Heart of Art" and contains 200 pages and 400 illustrations of work created by Schanz over his last 45 years. This art is abstract and conceptual in style and influenced by Fran's experiences in Viet Nam and two Pennsylvania universities. Both 1st and 2nd editions are available.|
This book additionally contains much of Schanz's biographical material plus first-person commentary regarding his works by collectors who own it.
|Todos necesitan saber acerca de estos autores y artistas...|
|I find the dedication shown by the true artist is remarkable. These men and women passionately follow what they do, regardless of economic success or failure, for their entire lives either interpreting our world or creating a new one from their imagination.|
