Acerca del libro electrónico
“The Child Who Invented a House” is the first in a series of “Child Who Invented” books. These books provide examples of young children who imagine an invention that solves a simple problem. The initial books are based on a family living on a farm in the American frontier.
In the first book, a young girl has two friends sleep over and they all get wet in the rain when they run outside to get a snack in the kitchen which is in another building. This sparks her thought that all of the separate buildings her father has built on the farm should be moved together, thereby creating a house with multiple rooms. After her father uses a strong horse to pull all the buildings together and cuts out doorways, she then imagines another room that would be a bedroom of her own.
