Acerca del libro electrónico
I love to garden, visit farmers markets and support local Ontario farmers. Summer is my absolute favourite time to eat and cook.
So when I was compiling recipes as a collection for friends and family it can't be a coincidence that many of the recipes were from the summer season and so a theme for this little book was born.
Things move a little slower in the heat, we eat a lot of cold suppers and rarely turn on the oven or even stove. Fresh fruits and vegetables need little adornment and the best meals are often the most simple. There are many salads inside this book but also a few treats and some preserving ideas.
I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I do.

Acerca del creador
Shana Hillman
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Shana Hillman grew up in a small town in northern Ontario where she gained experience in animal husbandry and strawberry farming. She has called Toronto home for the last 15 years. She loves cooking, preserving and growing Beagle-resistant vegetables in her sunny backyard. Recent highlights have included cheesemaking on the kitchen counter and curing pancetta in the basement, much to the horror of her adoring, yet dubious husband, and to the delight of her two ravenous Beagles (who are now banned from the basement until further notice).
