In May of 2009, my wife Gail and I went on a 20 day Mediterranean cruise with Holland America Line.
It became apparent very quickly that the local dogs enjoyed lolling around in the 33 - 38 degree heat. Greece, Italy, Spain, Turkey; it made no difference. The local cultures had no effect on these pooches.
It was very amusing that in most cases, hoards of people had no effect on where they decided to plop themselves down.
This book is a collection of my favourite images of these goofy canines in the Med.

I have been into photography since High School when I was the geek running around taking pictures for the yearbook. I advanced to weddings, crime scene and arson photography. (Some people may think that weddings are a crime scene!) I became a firefighter in 1980 and now hold the rank of Captain. I was dragged kicking and screaming into the digital photography age but I must admit, I love it. I am currently using a Canon 50D, but I do miss the darkroom days.
