Acerca del libro
Over the course of several years, photographers Dale Strattman and Skippy Sánchez have been independently making photographs of women during their travels, unaware of the other's developing body of work.
Sánchez's work, in traditional black and white street photography form, are of women in public places and their interaction with other women, their children, their jobs and, of course, with men and men's responses to them.
Strattman's work developed as he studied pictures of women used in advertising photographs or mannequins in store windows. Glamor and beauty, he concludes, are portrayed as a desirable yet unattainable ideal of what womanhood should be.
