Acerca del libro
Within these photographs, we see the daughter battling with the havoc of adolescence, not quite knowing how to deal with a changing body and mind. Other images depict a mother dealing with feelings of regret and sadness, the struggles of growing older as youth leaves her behind.
This body of work explores relationship to my daughter as I watch her turning into a young woman. As I see her develop from a girl into a woman, she becomes mirror of my past, my own youth in relation to body and identity.
I have developed a visual language, which takes poetic fragments to create an overarching mood and sensibility. By intentionally seducing the viewer with aesthetic images of fragility and loss, a dialogue about decay emerges.
