Acerca del libro
Charles Hembree was my grandfather. He was a husband, a father, a geologist, a conservationist, and a photographer. His presence and influence on my life, and all of his family, grows stronger as the years pass. Little did I know that old stories of Ansel Adams and endless teachings on rock formations as we toured the countryside would significantly shape the man I would become. HIs love and respect of the earth seeped into each preceding generation of our family and inspired us to take our own adventures. These photos are a narration of my adventure. My attempt to retrace my grandfather’s steps and develop my own relationship with nature.
