Acerca del libro
This book is the result of a graduationproject about an old railway connection from Antwerp (Belgium) to Mönchengladbach (Germany). Gerard has documeted the railwayline because Belgium wanted to reopen the line to the German Ruhrgebied that is partly running through the Netherland, who didn't want to reopen it, because of the impact on its surroundings and the fact that is hasn't been in use since 1991.
Gerard wanted to show how the railwayline, still partly used, is influencing life today. Also thinking what it would be like, if the number of freighttrains would increase to one every 5 minutes.
Gerard graduated as a documentary photographer at the Dutch Fotovakschool in 2009
