Acerca del libro
I started photographing on a serious level in 1990, originally inspired by Ansel Adams, Eliot Porter, Edward Weston and other nature and landscape photographers. Although over time my work and subject matter became varied, I’ve retained my interest in the natural world, be it landscapes or the endless variety of abstractions and textures that lay closer to the earth. The natural world is a universe of endless intrigue and wonder and inspires me artistically. It’s vital that I be immersed in it now and again to reconnect with the essence of my being and rebalance myself.
This book is a collection of black and white landscapes and elements of nature dating from the early 1990’s. I’ve included a variety of subjects in this body of work, most of which were shot in Alberta where I have resided for my whole life.
