Acerca del libro
In Stories from a Caravan Hayley Hillis and Pippa Wischer have produced a series of portraits of people who live long-term in caravan parks in Australia.
This project developed from an idea to present short life stories of these people. The eighteen portraits range from single mothers to retirees, most of whom are optimistic, courageous and have interesting stories to tell. The stories range from events in the 2nd World War to life in the caravan park and trying to raise children.
Both men and women have been interviewed, ranging from 20s’ to 80’s in age. What becomes evident with these portraits is that the participants candidly and humorously share with us some of their intimate moments, their daily challenges and successes, their hopes and their dreams.
