Acerca del libro
Flashbulb Memories is a series of mixed media prints by artist, Lisa Bulawsky, that conflates personal and cultural versions of history. Each print in the series represents a particular historical event that occurred during Bulawsky's lifetime, and attempts to capture the fluid impression of memory images that she associates with that event. They become personalized homages to some of the most significant and idiosyncratic moments of the last four decades, among them the shootings at Kent State in 1970 and the death of Elvis Presley in 1977. The series was executed in Bulawsky's studio in St. Louis, Missouri from 2005 - 2007.
