Acerca del libro
Early December 2013 saw the beginning of a two month South American adventure spanning four countries, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile.
From the hustle of Lima and along the rugged and varied coast to Nazca, stopping off to camp under the stars and then exploring Arequipa, before heading off into the lush interior toward Machu Picchu. Recovering in Cusco and staying with the locals on Amantani Island, Peru was extraordinary and eclectic.
The stunning and stark landscapes of Bolivia are only equalled by the harsh poverty of this incredible land locked country. Crossing into Argentina and staying in Salta couldn't have been more of a contrast. A bustling city, superb horse riding and amazing food!
Finally another highlight was staying in San Pedro De Atacama, the Valle De La Luna and surrounding desert are simply breathtaking. Santiago was the final stop in Chile and it quickly became home from home, a welcoming city with lots to see and do, plus superb food and friendly people. It was hard to leave.
On my last adventure I was simply a Passenger. This time I had the best travelling companion. We met new people, tried to speak Spanish, ate great food and experienced a vibrant, raw and amazing continent together.
Somewhere we will return, to be Passengers again!
