Acerca del libro
‘The Anxious Uncanny’ represents the recent work of Sarah Foyster (MA Fine Art), an artist based in Norfolk, UK throughout 2013 – 2014.
Sarah Foyster’s research and art practice explores the psychological boundaries of space reflecting on the liminality of anxiety and the uncanny. The focus of her work is concerned with the understanding of psychological effects upon the human condition, borne out of different physical and mental traumas. Sarah Foyster’s paintings are intended to capture the imagination and suspend disbelief. They are seemingly absurd, ambiguous, oblique, and may elude complete definition.
