Acerca del creador
Snapping images since 2001, Marisa studied in graphic design and fell in love with the world of photography. After a friend requested boudoir inspired shots, the world of Burlesque, glitter and pinup intruded on her everyday life and became her life's work. Primarily self taught, Marisa started out with a Holga camera and eventually graduated to Cannon and studio lighting. Working for other photographers allowed Marisa at only 22 to be retouching images for big name companies. Hard work and sacrifice pays off - after years of traveling for work and scraping by, Marisa was able to open a small studio in Montreal to welcome all you hidden starlets to play in her closet and extremely fun sets (which she also designs and builds). Marisa also produces her own amateur burlesque show, Speakeasy Burlesque, held in the speakeasy club in the basement of l'Abreuvoir Bar on the corner of St-Denis/Ontario in Montreal.
