Acerca del libro
This is a visual narrative of a 30 day cultural immersion in Egypt for a Fulbright-Hayes group project abroad. After the Arab Spring there was a travel ban that was lowered slightly just prior to our group travel in July 2011. We were not allowed to be alone and had police escorts the entire time. Not understanding the language and not being allowed to roam as I prefer, the experience became overwhelmingly visual. The organization of this book is not chronological rather it is thematic based on the color for the sense that was heightened. There is one essay at the back, or it could be the front if one lives in a place that reads right to left. The production of this book of organizing, choosing imagery, and designing the pages took approximately 4 months.

I am a proponent of the art of accidental adventure. Having a passport since infancy, I've been able to travel more over the last decade or so. Much of my creative philosophy is in identity with place and time. My photography is a documentation of the experience of what moves me in the moment. I am publishing various works from these travels.
