Acerca del libro
This revised edition of our family history contains detailed sources on all genealogical data. The book follows the four main branches of my and my husband Patrick’s families. It is a combination of genealogical data, based on research conducted over a ten-year period and, in the case of the more recent members of our family, anecdotal information.
The family names whose stories are included in the book are:
“Douville”, whose first ancestor, Pierre Moran, immigrated to Quebec from the Auvergne about 1677;
“Samson”, whose first ancestor, Jacques Samson, immigated to Quebec from Normandy about 1666;
“Krohn”, whose ancestors were traced to Hamburg in 1791; and
“French”, who were traced to Oxfordshire in 1775.
There is also a short chapter on Patrick’s mother’s maternal branch, the Walkers, from Scotland.
