Fruteland Jackson is a Historymaker (www.historymakers.com) musician, author, storyteller and oral historian and HistoryMaker. Fruteland grew up on Chicago’s West side. He is a three time Blues Music Award Nominee and a recipient of the Blues Foundation’s Keeping the Blues Alive award. Fruteland performs acoustic blues, folk and singer-songwriter styles around the world. He has created the award winning *All About the Blues Series- Blues in the School Programs and has published an instructional book on playing Delta Blues with Alfred Publishing. Fruteland released a spoken word CD in 2011 entitled “Singing the Blues with Stories Vol. I. www.thehistorymakers.com.
