Acerca del libro
What I liked most about it was that you seemed to just leave the diary be what it was. It's the raw stream of thoughts, events and feelings that comprise a truly human experience. I liken a person's journey in life, or even portions of that journey, to a braided rope. From afar, that rope just looks like one continuous piece, moving from one point to another. However, magnified down to the daily level, that rope is a bunch of fiber strands that all rise and fall: none of them exactly in unison with the other strands; some of them completely out of sync. Your personal account of Botswana really showed the rise and fall of the different strands of your journey: the cycles of highs and lows about teaching, poverty, personal love, a struggling society, relationships, seeking adventure, and of course running.
