Acerca del libro
An Armenian family comes to the US to start a new life. Annie, one of seven siblings, tells her personal stories about each family member, including her father's rug business, a brother who graduates from Harvard, a sister who is a concert pianist, and many more anecdotes of life in the Costikyan family. An extensive genealogy at the end links these seven siblings to more than 200 descendants. The story of how this edition came to pass is fascinating as well. When Annie's daughter, Barbara, commissioned Karen Koshgarian to create the book, Karen discovered that Annie's mother, and Karen's great-grandmother were sisters, who were born in Turkey towards the end of the 19th century. Both Karen and Barbara had identical photographs in their respective collections, but never knew about each other, even though they lived 7 miles apart, in adjacent towns in California. This fascinating book has over 200 digitally restored family photographs from the late 19th through the 20th century.
