Acerca del libro
Fingal - fine gall
The Fingal Dublin area is known for its charm and is soaked in history and culture. The name Fingal was originally derived from the Gaelic words Fine Gall, which translated means “land of the fair haired stranger”. This is a reference to the Vikings who would have settled in the area around the 8th century. Fingal is also known for boasting some of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland famous for both fishing and water sports. The beaches of fingal are also home to the famous Martello towers steeped in Irish history, which can be seen joining up along the coast. Throughout this book I will take you through the towns of Malahide, Rush, Loughshinny, Skerries, and Howth so that you too can appreciate the beauty of Coastal Fingal.
